Large Curing Tank

The curing tank is designed to provide temperature controlled storage for specimens prior to testing and has a maximum weight limit of 450 kg. 
This will equate to approximately 45 x 150 mm cubes or 145 x 100 mm cubes, allowing for the mass of the water. 
Under these conditions the heat of hydration is not expected to affect the water temperature control provided the environmental conditions described in the following paragraph are met.

Tests have indicated that the unit will maintain a constant temperature of 20ºC ± 2°C provided it is situated in an environment where the ambient temperature does not fall below 15°C or rise above 20°C.
The water circulation is achieved by means of a submersible pump.
An immersion heater, complete with a controlling thermostat, is fitted into the tank.
